SEWAGE FACILITY
ENFORCEMENT GRANTS AWARDED

State Senator Michael
A. O’Pake today announced that two Berks County municipalities have been
awarded state Sewage Facilities Enforcement Grants totaling $9,004 by
the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
According to Senator
O’Pake, Cumru Township will receive a $5,297 grant and Greenwich
Township will receive a $3,707 grant through the Sewage Facilities
Enforcement Grant Program.
Senator O’Pake explained
that the grant funding reimburses municipalities up to 50% of the costs
of performing the sewage enforcement provisions of Act 537 of 1965, the
Sewage Facilities
Planning Act.
