PROPERTY TAX RELIEF FROM GAMING FOR ALL HOMEOWNERS

     The state Department of Education has released information on the statewide distribution of $612 million in gaming funds for homestead/farmstead school property tax relief this summer.

     Berks County homeowners are in line to receive a total of $19.7 million in property tax relief. 

    
The chart below shows the distribution, by school district, in Berks County.

Column 1 shows the amount flowing to each district for property tax relief.
Column 2 is an estimate of the number of approved homesteads/farmsteads.
Column 3 is an estimate of the amount of property tax relief that each homestead and each farmstead can expect to receive.  The relief will be reflected in school property tax bills that will be mailed out by the school districts after July 1.
