Persian Gulf Conflict Bonus UPDATE

Applications for current and former military personnel qualified for the Persian Gulf Conflict bonus are now available.

Act 29 of 2006 approved a $75 bonus for each month of military service in the Persian Gulf Theater from August 1990 to August 31, 1991.  The maximum payment is $525.  Pennsylvania voters in November of 2006 approved issuing a bond of up to $20 million to pay for the program.  A $5,000 payment will be made for servicemen and women who died while in the theater or of injury or illness incurred there, or who were prisoners of war.

To qualify, applicants must have been legal residents of the Commonwealth during their Gulf service, and served under honorable conditions.
