Harrisburg, May 6, 2008 —
Jennifer M. Valez of Reading (2nd from left) was recently honored in the
state Senate by Senator Michael A. O'Pake (D-Berks) and Lieutenant
Governor Catherine Baker Knoll for being named one of Pennsylvania's
2008 Outstanding Adult Students by the Department of Education's Bureau
of Adult Basic and Literacy Education. Ms. Valez is pictured with her
daughter, Yahaira Haddock (front center) and her Reading Area Community
College Instructor Victoria Lichty (right).
