March 6, 2008 -- With Reading Schools Superintendent, Dr. Thomas R.
Chapman, Jr., looking on, Senator O'Pake drops in on a class at the
district's "Gateway School for the Performing Arts" in Glenside -- one
of the district's "magnet" schools. Aimed at promoting educational
enthusiasm and innovation , the school combines the arts with the
teaching of the basics to 6th graders.
